Blueprint have successfully trained another cohort of Lead Practitioners. The six staff members from Sirius Academy have produced evidence against six standards and completed action research projects to further the pedagogical knowledge of the academy. The projects were very diverse, covering topics such as flipped learning and student led learning.
There are many benefits to Lead Practitioner accreditation, such as staff retention and development, team building and recognition of key teachers. Chris Fletcher, cohort lead for Blueprint Alliance Teaching School said that “this clearly demonstrates the commitment of both Sirius Academy and the individuals involved to professional development. The recognition is a national accreditation, and the staff may now have the opportunity to support colleagues across the country.”
